Abstract
By correlating information from programmed electrical stimulation of the heart and intracardiac recordings with the 12 lead electrocardiogram we have improved our ability to predict the site of origin of a tachycardia showing a widened QRS complex [1–3]. That information is not only of value for diagnostic and prognostic reasons, but also because new methods of therapy like surgery and fulguration require a more exact localisation of the site of origin of the widened QRS complex.
