Abstract
The observed morphological features of extragalactic radio jets and H.H objects include wiggles and pinches. To gain understanding of these properties, we review the model of helical and pinching instabilities. This model enable us to reproduce these features and to deduce a number of important physical parameters, such as the Mach number and the density contrast.
