Abstract
High resolution bidimensional optical spectroscopy in Hα, [NII] λλ 6548, 6583 υ and [SII] λλ 6717, 6713 Å lines of the bipolar nebula S 106 are reported. The resulting Hα velocity maps show strong variations in the emission line profiles along the nebula, a situation which is duplicated in other lines, and suggest a sub-arcsec scale structure for some zones. The clumpiness of the nebula is furthermore evidenced by the presence of line splitting with typical relative velocities of about 90 km s-1. We discuss a possible model for this nebula taking into account its morphological, physical and kinematic characteristics.
