Abstract

The number of symposia, congresses, conferences and workshops that take place every year all over the world is nowadays so large, that anyone who decides to organize a meeting must give convincing justifications to the colleagues who have agreed to participate in it that they will not be wasting their time. It is particularly important that they do not have the troublesome feeling of “increasing the tower of Babel by adding another opportunity for fragmentation of the scientific community” [1].
