Abstract

Is there such a thing as progress in philosophy? Nowadays, some even question if there is progress in science, and strong doubts have been expressed by Feyerabend and others. However, most of us have thought that, at least in some sense, the continual accumulation of facts and the continual reevaluation of theories in the natural and social sciences constitutes progress.
