Abstract
Mathematical modelling represents one of the methods we can use to find proper answers to questions stated to solve biological problems. This method is extraordinarily useful in cases of complex behavior of biological systems, i.e. in cases which are inconvenient to model experimentally or in cases where experimental modelling is possible but the interpretation of results requires some theoretical support. Mathematical model of the immune response regulated by interleukin 2 is presented as an example.
