Abstract
During the last few years I have been fascinated by the culture of the pre-Columbian Maya. This extraordinary civilization offers us the opportunity to study primitive man untouched by Western Civilization. The Mayas were found at an early Neolithic period in their development, yet possessed incredibly advanced political organizations and literary achievements.
