Abstract
Restoration management aims at the increase of species diversity and/or the re-establishment of plant species that have disappeared as a result of the intensification of agricultural practices or abandoning. It was shown in chapter XI that only a limited number of species has a permanent seed bank from which plants can re-establish. Moreover, most of these species appeared to be weeds or pioneers. This means that many of the hay-field species expected to re-establish as a result of restoration management cannot do so from a permanent seed bank.
