Abstract

Idiopathic spinal curvature found in children and adults is characterized by side-curving in the frontal plane, changes in configuration and dimensions of normal curvatures of spine, and the appearance of rotation of the vertebra around the vertical axis of the spinel,4. Rotation is the most difficult deformation to eliminate both by conservative and surgical treatment2,5–8. In order to study the mechanism of this rotation in the lumbar spine, observations of lumbar spinal mechanics were made in other diseases. The rotation of vertebra in the lumbar section of the vertebral column in acute pain within the abdominal cavity has been researched.
