Abstract
The declaration of Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ) increases greatly the area over which coastal nations have exclusive control of the resources of the earth. Unlike the land jurisdiction, the title to the resources of the Exclusive Economic Zone and the terms and conditions under which title passes to private ownership, vest in the people of Nations through Federal and State sovereignty. The resources of this vast domain and the manner in which they will be exploited is as yet unknown.
