Abstract
Like so many company managers with no special theoretical or practical training in the subject, I am entirely self-taught in the world of “business ethics”. So the only contribution I can make is to present the ideas I have arrived at from practical experience in the forefront. I have been working in a state-owned industry, Electricité de France (E.D.F.), for ten years now and as Deputy Director General for two years. It is obvious that this background will deeply influence my considerations.
