Infection and immunity of vitamin A and iron deficient children

Abstract

Vitamin A is one of the vitamins with widespread physiological functions in the body. Apart from its role in dark adaptation, the functions of vitamin A in maintaining the structural and functional integrity of mucosal epithelium, cellular proliferation and its adjuvant actions on the immune system are important.
