Abstract
Russian nuclear submarine decommissioning creates three types of low-level liquid radioactive waste (LRW). The three waste streams vary greatly in contaminant chemistry and concentration, leading to the need for a broad spectrum of processing technologies. Russian effluent discharge and waste disposal standards are also reviewed to show their influence on potential technologies.
