Abstract

For more than 10 years, since M-mode echocardiography began to be used, attempts have been made to visualize the mobility and characteristics of valvular prostheses. Since then, numerous valve models have appeared on the market and the changes echocardiographic technique have undergone are profound; today, echocardiography is based on M-mode recording, bidimensional examination and Doppler scanning.
