Optimal biplane imaging of coronary segments with computed triple orthogonal projections
A new method for improved imaging of coronary segments with exact triple orthogonal projections was developed. By means of this method, the two X-ray gantries of a biplane mutidirectional unit can be readjusted perpendicular to the long axis of an object of interest and perpendicular to each other using the results of spatial computations from a surveying view. The method was verified with phantom studies and applied in the clinical setting.
