Abstract
Although most of the patients attending our clinics fall nicely into diagnostic ‘boxes’ many do not, and it is these who usually cause our sleepless nights. These patients may have a hint of this or a hint of that, but never anything definite and the investigations will be predictably normal. In offering a tertiary referral service, we also attract the unusual. We present some such cases in this section as they are a continuing source of education to us all.
