Abstract
Modern experimental methods have brought thought- experiments from the mind of the theorist into the laboratory. Three specific experiments are discussed: 1) macroscopic quantum phenomena in SQUIDS, 2) single-atom detection of quantum jumps, and 3) delayed-choice experiments in quantum optics. Each experiment intensifies the puzzling character of quantum physics.
