Abstract
Infection and hemorrhage are the major limiting, life threatening toxicities occurring during the “standard” therapy for patients with leukemia and the intensive treatment of patients with solid tumors. This chapter will therefore review the current approach to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infection.
