In vivo detection of protein-DNA interactions

Abstract

The study of plant gene regulation has moved rapidly into the description of transcription regulatory proteins that bind to promoter or enhancer DNA [for example 1–5]. However, most of this work has been conducted in vitro and has been made possible by the gel retardation assay [6].
