Galaxy Formation in Unstable Dark Matter Models

  • Chapter
The Epoch of Galaxy Formation

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASIC,volume 264))

Abstract

Formation and evolution of the large-scale structure of galaxy distribution in unstable dark matter (UDM) models are discussed. Epoch of galaxy formation which for stable neutrino models (m = 30 eV) was too late (z = 0.5 – 1) for UDM models (m = 50 – 100 eV) goes to z = 3 if products of decays are relativistic at present or at least to z= 7 – 10 if the products are nonrelativistic.
