Abstract
Being the nearest cluster, the Virgo cluster can be studied in great detail, especially concerning the effects of the environment on the galaxies. HI observations have shown that the deficiency of neutral gas in Virgo cluster spirals is more important in galaxies lying in the central region (Chamaraux et al. 1980).
