Abstract
It was a excellent idea to have a general discussion session, on the conferences’ Thursday. In so far as necessary, participants have made acquaintance then, and are well conditioned by the advanced chemistry and novel results already presented.
I am indebted to D. Schulte-Frohlinde and N.A. Porter for their willingness to make opening statements in the discussion session, and to J.F. Koster for taking down major points. Ned Porter is also thanked for preparing a written report at my request; I am pleased to acknowledge his contribution by appointing him as a co-author.
