Transport Structures of Chemical and Gastanker Cargoes
It is an honour to address a distinguished audience on such an important topic. It is up to me to indicate the relative importance of seaborne transport for those products, which, when not dealt with properly, spills in the marine environment may cause havock. At MERC we have dealt with chemical logistics for a long time, our main task is to monitor the transport demand for all commodities. We undertake research within all maritime sectors and this from a variety of angles, from the market point of view, in relation to port developments, to assess newbuilding demands for ships, etc.
