Abstract

With conventional rotational rheometers, where the speed is controlled (shear rate) and the torque is measured (shear stress) it has been impossible to measure the yield point of a substance. Instead it had to be determined by means of extrapolation and using mathematical model equations. Now, with a controlled stress rheometer, the yield point of a substance can in fact me measured.
