Determination of Loading Order of Permanent Magnet Blocks in the Soft X-ray Undulator (SXU) at the NSLS

Abstract

The optimal arrangement of the permanent magnet blocks in the SXU magnet was determined using the magnet transfer functions. Details of this method, some of the results of field measurements, and field calculations are discussed.
