Abstract
A five-meter dipole magnet has been constructed and tested to verify electrical and magnetic performance. The magnetic field is analyzed with the three dimensional nonlinear magnetic field analysis program. The effectiveness of annular void at coil ends with iron yokes has been confirmed analytically as well as experimentally. The rated current of 6504A at the rated field of 6.6T was successfully achieved after several quenches.
