Abstract
Simultaneous-biaxial drawing of the UHMWPE gel films about 130 µm thick was possible at high temperatures such as 135°C. The original film was required to have high uniformities both in the thickness and structure, particularly to get high draw ratios. The maximum draw ratio ever achieved was 20×20. the structure and properties of biaxially drawn films were studied.
