Neural-Computing Within Esprit

  • J. J. Lauture

Abstract

In this document, I intend to justify why and how we should support Neuro Computing activities within ESPRIT. There is no major contradiction with the policy adopted up to date. The initial actions, covering support environment & SW-HW tools, are quite good means of strengthening the European Industry in NC. However, initial actions such as the projects ANNIE or PYGMALION need to be pursued, enlarged and completed with VLSI design, through the second ESPRIT call and the new Framework Programme.
