Review of the Populations of Highly-Excited States of Atoms in Low-Density Plasmas

Abstract

Brief survey of the problem is discriebed. Results obtained with the use of analytical and numerical methods and the methods proper are reviewed. The influence of the nonideal effects on the highly-excited level populations is considered.
