Abstract
The first step towards a formal description of an empirical phenomenon consists in collecting relevant information about the possible practical course of the phenomenon. In doing this, we want to retain only that information which is of value for the specific study we have in mind. Not always are we able to decide which part of the available information have to be taken into account. However, in practice there usually exists some natural description of the realization which is convenient for the next stages of formalization.
