Estimation of Wet and Dry Deposition of Pb and Cd Over the Ligurian Sea

Abstract

Measurements of atmospheric deposition were carried out at Cap Ferrat on the Southeastern coast of France. Pb and Cd were sampled in the atmospheric aerosol and in rainwater, during 1986 and 1987. Aerosols were analysed by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry; dissolved matter, which represents almost all of heavy metals in rainwater, was analysed by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry on hanging mercury drop electrode.
