A discussion of J. P. Sartre’s The Transcendence of the Ego seems to me a good opportunity for discussing the main issues of his oeuvre, because centerpieces of his basic philosophical framework are already outlined in this text, ideas which come up again in later works or are used as the basis for ideas developed later.
