Abstract
During this meeting we have reviewed and discussed many of the known properties of galaxies. Much of our knowledge is new, having been derived only during the past decade or so from new ground based capabilities, such as those provided by CCDs and radio interferometers, or from space observatories. Not surprisingly much of this information remains in all too raw a form. While the much sought after synthesis between theory and observation to yield a zero order physical model of galaxies has yet to occur, we saw during this meeting signs that progress is being made in a number of areas.
