Optical, IR, and HI Observations of a Large Complete Cluster Sample

It is a chronic problem to achieve completeness in galaxy samples. Also, distance uncertainties confuse the comparison of properties between galaxies. These difficulties can be overcome by studying the members of clusters. The objects are essentially at the same distance and all objects that meet specified selection criteria within the volume of the cluster can be included. For example, a flux threshold might be set in some spectral band and this threshold corresponds to a specific absolute threshold for a complete sample.
