Abstract

After several years of focussing on research, clinical PET is now becoming a reality. During this pre-congress meeting the application of PET and its clinical potential for cardiology, neurology, and oncology has been discussed. Besides demonstrating its clinical efficacy, PET instrumentation must be easy to use and efficient to operate, in order to become fully accepted for clinical use.
