Nonlinear Analysis of a Classical Cosmological Model

Abstract

We study the dynamics of a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker Universe considered as an autonomous Hamiltonian. The time evolution of this Hamiltonian presents numerical instabilities so we apply a symplectic integration method. We conclude that chaotic behavior is possible in this spatially closed Universe.
