Abstract

The main channel through which industry exerts influence on the environment is not the smokestack, the sewage pipe or the waste container, but the delivery outlet. Here, the greatest amounts of potentially harmful substances leave the factory and start their journey through society. Although there are differences between countries and products, in practice most of these substances end up somewhere in the environment.
