Abstract

In this paper, we briefly report on the study by Bressan et al. (1995, BCT) who examine the properties of elliptical galaxies in the space of the parameters Hβ, [MgFe], (1550-V), and velocity dispersion Σ, try to infer the age of these systems, and cast light on the age-metallicity dilemma.
