Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASEN2,volume 9))

Abstract

The present paper is devoted to the development of model for study of ground water contamination by highly toxic radioactive industrial wastes of the “Mayak” Production Association at the South Ural, Russia. Environmental problems for this site have been discussed in several publications including Avramenko et al. (1994), Mironenko et al. (1995). Geological, hydrogeological and geochemical setting were presented in the papers of Samsonova and Drozhko (1994), Solodov et al. (1995).
