Abstract
In the previous pages diagnostic procedures and treatments have been discussed for the endocrine disturbances known to occur in dogs and cats. In this chapter attention is given to the management of endocrine emergencies. The outcome of an emergency case is highly dependent upon prompt recognition and quick institution of appropriate treatment. Therefore some diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of endocrine emergencies are summarized here as a quick reference.
