Abstract

Since WAGGONER & HORSFALL (1969) developed the prognosis model “EPIDEM” in the USA an intensive period of modelling started in Germany by KRANZ (1974), SCHRÖDTER (1983), GUTSCHE & KLUGE (1983) and others. During the last decade a number of decision systems have been established for farmer’s practical use forecasting the occurrence of diseases and pests and guiding an optimal input of pesticides.
