The Teaching Design of Digital Signal Processing Based on MATLAB and FPGA

Abstract

Due to the wide-ranging contents, abstract concepts and complicated designs involved in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), this paper proposed a technology scheme that incorporated MATLAB and FPGA into the theoretical and practical teaching. The scheme developed a multimedia teaching system based on VC++ and MATLAB which gives full play to the advantages of visual graphics, consequently achieved the purpose of stimulating interests of learning, reducing the difficulty of understanding and improving the quality of teaching. In order to improve the ability of engineering application, also designed a comprehensive experiment based on the combination of MATLAB DSP Builder and FPGA instead of the previous experiment methods using the MATLAB tools for the single simulation. The results show that this scheme achieved anticipated goals.
