A Process Model of User Reactions to IT System Features

Abstract

It is critical to understand more about the processes contributing to user reactions of these initiatives. We develop a process model based on theories related to organizational sense making to help understand user reactions to IT systems. This paper suggests that IT system features can also send signals to users, user extract cues from their environment and interpret them based on situational characteristics and personality, these cognitive interpretation can influence subsequent emotional reactions and behavior.
