Abstract

With the development of network technology, Microblogging has become the latest network platform which is widely used in many fields. It is also very useful for college teachers to apply it in teaching English literature. With a solid experience in teaching the course of English literature, the author is trying to provide arguments for using Microblogging as an educational tool, underlining its advantages to counter the predicaments of current English literature teaching. Educated in a Microblogging environment, students can have more opportunities to communicate with teachers, get more helpful information, and extend their learning areas, thus improving their ability of self study and literary appreciation. The article also presents some practical and effective modes that can be adopted in English literature teaching in a Microblogging environment.
