Abstract

Software engineering talent needs knowledge of computer systems as well as software development capabilities. To achieve this goal, a training program and reformed practical curriculum was developed. This paper, taking Subject Perception course as an example, introduces reform and innovation in teaching of software engineering professional practice courses. In the reformed course, six hardware experiments covering from basic logic to combined logic were devised, and a circuit experimental platform developed by teachers was employed. Emphasizing practice, the reformed course deepens understanding by students of 1st year of the relationship between computer hardware systems and software instructions. The teaching reform will stimulate students’ interest in learning and lay the foundation for students to engage in embedded software development.
