Abstract

The advent of WFCAM on UKIRT has allowed high-resolution (sub-arcsecond), multi-epoch surveys of medium sized (tens of square degrees) areas of sky in the near infrared for the first time. At the Wide Field Astronomy Unit in Edinburgh we have built a science archive to allow users easy access to all WFCAM data: UKIDSS surveys, large campaigns and PI data. As part of our work we have designed and built tables and software that allow users to work with multi-epoch data: a table of motions and statistics that allows users to select objects that are variable in different ways and a table that allows easy generation of light-curves. We will process VISTA data in much the same way, but VISTA will extend these surveys to cover hundreds of square degrees.
