Abstract

As stated in previous chapter, temperature is the main factor influencing the distribution of recent Southwestern Atlantic molluskan species, and surely, the same situation prevailed during Pleistocene and Holocene times. But, as already discussed, the spatial distribution of species was not exactly the same than today in similar latitudes. In this chapter faunal boundaries are analized.
