Constitutive Relations

  • Esben Byskov
Part of the Solid Mechanics and Its Applications book series (SMIA, volume 194)

This chapter is mainly concerned with constitutive relations for the infinitesimal theory, i.e. the mathematically linear theory. However, most of the formulas may be made valid for kinematically nonlinear cases provided sufficient care is taken in the selection of strain and stress measures.
