Abstract

A growth-stimulating effect of commercial humic preparations made from coal “Energen-LK” and “Powhumus” and water with low, relative to the natural, level of the isotope 2H (≈120 ppm and lower) on the germination of wheat seeds was studied. A bioassay performed under favourable conditions failed to demonstrate this effect, but a bioassay performed under stressful conditions with use of the herbicide glyphosate resulted in significant growth-stimulating effects of each factor and also synergistic effects.
