A Conflict Alert of Landing Aircraft in ASDE System

A significant portion of aircraft accidents occur during takeoff and landing, and leads to the most serious accidents. ASDE (Airport Surface Detection Equipment) is conducting research to ensure the safety of passengers and to support air traffic control services. This paper proposes an algorithm of conflict alert of landing aircraft for the air traffic control in ASDE data processing system. Proposed algorithm of ASDE prevents runway incursion caused by runway collision.
